Heloise Godfrey-Talbot
'talking with objects', event at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, 2014.
The Joy Orchestra
The Joy Orchestra is a research project exploring the nature of communication, particularly non-verbal communications. I am creating ‘human soundtracks’ and exploring how these tracks can form part of an audio-visual ‘orchestra.’ At this stage of my research I am working with musicians and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and creating audio-visual ‘dialogues’ or 'duets'.

Watching
Since Summer 2013 I have been collaborating with Jo Fong a director, choreographer and performer working in dance, film, theatre and the visual arts.
The collaboration is an evolving archive of work, a gathering of material, ideas and dialogue. It is inspired by Amanda Baggs’ moving film entitled In My Language.
New work by Heloise and Jo will be showcased at Chapter Arts Centre on the 1st May 2014.
Shadow of the book
Slide libraries, full of buried treasures, have been or are being discarded from institutions all around the country. The collection at Cardiff Metropolitan University is being preserved but is being "weeded" by 10,000 slides. Slides that have lost their colour, become foxed with age or that show the shadow of the book are being removed. Heloise is charting this process as these object/images are held, sometimes for the last time.
A selection of this work will be shown at 2014 Frames, part of Glasgow International at Merchant City Square and at CCA.
2014 Frames is curated by near nothing.
